Let’s face it … you’re animal is not always going to do what you want during a training session. Consequently it’s beneficial to not only think about what reinforcers you are going to deliver when you animal does the right thing … but also what you are going to do when they don’t. LRS = Less reinforcing stimuli. What this means is that if our animal does something other then what we want then we endeavour to offer them the less reinforcing consequence possible. We don’t want to reinforce the incorrect response, we don’t want to punish the incorrect response … LRS has us trying to be as neutral as possible.
