HOW AN ANIMAL TRAINING ACADEMY LIVE WEB CLASS WORKS (FOR INVITED GUESTS)
The live Web classes go for about 1-1.5 hours and use special webinar software. Guests have an opportunity to register beforehand or watch LIVE on the Animal Training Academy private members only FB page [NOTE; this will be viewable to ATA members only]. On the day, I send you a link and you just log on. (It’s good to have a test run at some point beforehand as well so that we can test everything out and make sure that it’s all working okay …
Via the web class software, we have the ability to stream live video/audio, share PowerPoint presentations/slides and play pre-loaded/recorded videos. What I’ve done with other guests is utilize presentations they already have prepared. So basically, they just send me the slides and any videos they used, and I get this all set up and ready for the event. In the class, I manage the slides and the playing of all the videos so the guest just gets to talk and not worry about controlling anything. SUPER easy-peasy. Alternatively, we can just have some animal training banter … and a bit more of a live Q&A … or something else? I’m really open to anything …
Below is an example of a replay from a live web class I did with R+ horse trainer Kate Southcombe. Skip forward to about 15 mins to see when Kate joins live, (please do not share this);
I do two of these LIVE web-classes every month and the audience is people who have a paid monthly subscription with Animal Training Academy. The membership base includes both people working with captive wildlife and pet owners. Web-class replays are then stored in the member’s area on ATA for current and future members to view. The live events are a ton of fun and it’s exciting to be experimenting with new ways to reach people and help them learn. Let me know what you think and If you have any questions and I will be excited to explore this possibility with you
