ANIMAL TRAINING HELP – WITH VIDEO EDITING
If you have been watching, listening too or reading any of my content you would have heard me go on about one method that I believe really helps enhance your animal training skills. This method is to simply film your animal training and watch it back. For those involved in Animal Training Academy’s VIP mentor program this technique is taken to the next level.
The clip below demonstrates the use of video editing software to really help supercharge the learning experience. In the video you will meet Rasta the Alexandrine parakeet who is being trained by Animal Training Academy member Julian Novoa. In the video you will see how I’ve done a couple of things to provide Julian with Animal Training help;
- I’ve added freeze frames.
- These pause the video at critical points and highlight specific elements of behavior and training.
- I’ve used slow motion.
- This helps us understand crucial elements and see things more clearly.
- I’ve added written text.
- I’ve added text straight into the video to assist with clarification and provide further information.
After sending Julian (Rasta’s “Human”) this video, he was easily able to comprehend my input. Julian then did an amazing job of incorporating the new information into his training techniques. As you will be able to see he achieved some sensational results in just nine days after receiving the edited video.
NOTE: Rasta and Julian live 1000’s of kilometers away from me in a completely different country. This mentoring program was done entirely online.
Watch and enjoy the video Below. Great work Julian – Ryan Cartlidge – Animal Training Academy.
